Some of the equipment supplied by Telelase and a brief description of their functions:
- Routers and switches: Network based routing is the process of selecting paths in a network along which to send data. Routers also perform protocol translation, perform firewall functions. They route computing data, voice traffic, internet traffic and video. Switches connect network segments together
- Security Appliances: Security appliances protect networks from external attacks, spam, hacking, and have firewall features.
- IP Telephony: IP PBXs manage voice traffic using Internet Protocols (traffic does not have to go through the Internet & often does not) or other packet switching networks. They provide local dial tone, manage extensions and enable users to share telephone lines when not in use. Supplied IP Telephony equipment includes IP phones and IP conferencing equipment.
- Video Conferencing: Interactive equipment that provides simultaneous video and audio at remote locations. Can be used to conference together multiple locations at the same time. Runs over private lines and Internet connections.
- Servers: Computers that run applications, provide email, databases, e-commerce functions, game services, file services and a host of other applications.
