LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As a lead software engineer in Telelase's outstanding engineering team essential functions include hands on software development, recruiting, training and  leading other engineering team members and supporting the IT staff as necessary.  Software development tasks will include software systems analysis and definition, design, detailed test implementation including unit integration and automated testing and driving performance and reliability enhancements.  

Responsibilities:

  1. Communication with clients to determine and document needs

  2. Develop middleware applications for message channel exchanges

  3. Enhance standard open source Linux based applications for enhanced functionality to meet client needs

  4. Develop network routing code for complex distributed networks

  5. Develop Java applications including Apache based middleware

 Telelase strongly believes that system and software needs evolve with time.  Software engineering staff including lead staff need to be versatile and willing to learn new technologies and applications and be ready on short notice to tackle them.

Candidate Requirements:

 B.S. Engineering/Computer Sciences or engineering/sciences.  MS is a strong plus.

  1. Deep familiarity and comfort level with Linux and Java

  2. Minimum of 5 years software development experience

  3. Background in enterprise business applications a strong plus

  4. Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills

  5. U.S. residency or citizenship

  6. San Francisco Bay Area resident
